These classes are 90 to 120 minutes in duration and students wear a gi or kimono (the traditional BJJ uniform) during instruction. Many techniques rely on the gi as a tool for gripping, choking, and leverage. A typical class consists of warm ups, technical drills, technical instruction, and controlled sparring (rolling).

These one hour classes focus primarily on the stand-up and take down techniques of Judo and are an excellent way to supplement Brazilian Jiu-jitsu skills, especially in tournaments.
